The chalet is situated in the small hamlet of Ried on the outskirts of St Wolfgang. It is easily reached by car and will take you about 45 minutes from Salzburg airport.

The chalet house sits in an elevated south facing position giving views of the lake and the alps beyond.
It is a brisk 10 minute walk into the centre of St Wolfgang and you are only 2 minutes from the lake and the public bathing area.

You are also located at the foot of the Schafsberg and if you turn left out of the chalet and walk 150 metres you enter the trails that take you into the forest and up the mountain.

Alternatively, the station for the cog train is only a 5 minute walk and by the station you can also board the ferry and cruise around the Wolfgangsee.

GETTING HERE

It couldnt be easier to get to St Wolfgang or more precisely the hamlet of Ried. The quickest way from the UK is to fly to Salzburg Airport and then to hire a car. The flight will take less than 2 hours and then you have a straightforward drive of 45-50 minutes. Salzburg is generally a very efficient airport and you will be on the road quickly after your arrival.

Ryan Air have regular flights throughout the year and in the winter season flights are available from other regional airports.
